To find someone in touch with army air corps men who are still living, if any, you look at the book he mentions in this post, The Lost Squadron: A Fleet of Warplanes Locked in Ice for Fifty Years. A library may have it or try a bookseller such as Amazon.com, which does have copies for sale. World War II Forums is an online conversation board where you could place an inquiry.
